1. Those of you who have installed previous versions of Eyecon are kindly asked to uninstall the old Eyecon versions before
installing version 1.0.6. Specific uninstall instructions below. If you do not wish to uninstall Eyecon manually, we will
provide an uninstall script in a few days. Please check the forum for updates.
2. For those of you who are using previous Eyecon versions – we are using slightly different names for our software
components. Eyecon Control Point is now called EyeconManager and the Eyecon UI application is now called
EyeconTroller.
Uninstall instructions for Macs
1. If running, stop all the following Eyecon components on your computer
a. Eyecon Player
b. Eyecon Control Point
c. EyeconTunes
d. Eyecon
2. Open “File Finder”
3. In “File Finder” press “Applications”
4. Drag the “eyecon” folder to the recycling bin.
5. It is also advised to remove all old icon desktop shortcuts.
Now download version 1.0.6
Uninstall instructions for Windows
1. If running, stop all the following Eyecon components on your computer:
a. Control Point
b. Eyecon
c. Eyecon Player
d. EyeconTunes
2. Go to Start menu and open “control panel”
On XP - Click “Add or Remove Programs”
On Vista - Click “Programs” and then click on “Programs and Features”
On Windows7 - Click “Programs and Features”
3. Uninstall all Eyecon components
a. Eyecon Control Point
b. Eyecon
c. EyeconTunes
As follows:
On XP – Click on each Eyecon application and then click “Remove”
On Vista and Windows 7- Right click on each Eyecon application and choose “Uninstall”
4. If you’re asked to re-start the computer please do so.
5. Remove the Eyecon directories as follows:
a. On XP:
i. Go to “C:\ Program Files” (click on “My Computer”, “C:” “Program Files”. Look for an eyecon
directory. If it exists, delete it.
ii. Advised but not mandatory -
Go to “C:\Documents and Settings\[user name_where_Eyecon_is_installed]”.
Look for an eyecon directory. If it exists, delete it.
iii. Advised but not mandatory -
Go to “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users”. Look for an eyecon directory. If it exists, delete it.
b. On Vista and Windows 7
i. Go to “C:\ Program Files(x86)” (click on “My Computer”, “C:” “Program Files(x86)”.
If “C:\ Program Files(x86)” does not exist then go to “C:\ Program Files”.
ii. Look for an eyecon directory. If it exists, delete it.
iii. Advised but not mandatory - Go to “C:Users\[user_name_where_Eyecon_is_installed]”.
Look for an eyecon directory. If it exists, delete it.
6. It is also advised to remove old icon shortcuts on the desktop and in the Start menu.
Now you are set to download version 1.0.6
