Eyecon Technologies
Eyecon Technologies was founded in 2003 in a garage. We got together with a bunch of smart and talented people to answer some simple questions:
Why wade through each of your various media libraries and favorite web-sources individually?
Why clutter your TV screen when browsing your movies and deciding what to watch?
Why is it a major hassle playing media from your computer to the stereo or big screen?
|
Couldn't come up with any answers? Neither could we.
Our mission:
Allow you to search through all your media simultaneously and play it to any device, without cluttering the screen, without getting up and with zero hassle.
We’ve grown and moved into an office in Palo Alto, CA, with branches in Israel and Vietnam, though occasionally we still consider using that garage.

Overwhelmed by the explosion of content choices, consumers are finding it increasingly difficult and frustrating to discover, access and enjoy their content. Multiple content libraries, disparate interfaces, and incompatible devices only compound the difficulty and hamstring content providers, CE vendors and Service Providers from monetizing new digital distribution opportunities. Traditional PC based media-center and television-centric navigation solutions have failed to answer the challenge.
|
The PC based solutions lack portability and availability, while failing to provide work flows that allow for previewing and interaction with synchronized content on the primary viewing screen. Television-based navigation is hampered by the well-known limitations of the remote control and the distracting clutter of menus and keyboards on the TV screen. And because television is often a shared experience, screen clutter and navigation becomes very disruptive to other viewers. Furthermore, neither method has provided a valid nor sustainable revenue model.
|
A new approach is required. One that utilizes a synchronized and portable application to simplify and improve the consumers’ total media experience while benefiting the media ecosystem of content providers, CE vendors and service providers. Eyecon's portable and parallel interface screen application is the answer. CE vendors, struggling with software development challenges, will enjoy a shorter time to market and faster adoption of their digital entertainment products.
|
Service providers and content publishers can gain incremental revenues by leveraging the additional real-estate on the parallel interface screen for advertising, brand promotion and paid search.
